GDLSK Partner Arthur Bodek will participate as a panelist at the 2026 American Bar Association International Law Section Annual Conference being held in Washington from May 12 – 14, 2026. The panel is entitled From Promise to Pressure: Are FTAs Still Worth It?
FTAs once symbolized growth and stability, but rising protectionism, geopolitical rivalries, and domestic pressures are testing their durability. As FTAs face scrutiny, the panel will address such questions as: are they delivering outcomes, or have they become political bargaining chips? Can free trade still serve as a pathway to promote trade?
