On September 24, 2026, the American Alliance of Wooden Fence Producers, consisting of Alta Forest Products; Sierra Pacific Industries; and Mendocino Forest Products (“Petitioners”) filed a petition for the imposition of antidumping and countervailing duties on the imports of certain wooden fence pickets from the People’s Republic of China. The petition alleges dumping margins of 111.87%-295.89% from China. The petition identifies certain foreign producers/exporters and U.S. importers of the investigated product.
The merchandise covered by this investigation is certain wooden fence pickets, finished and unfinished, whether assembled or unassembled. Wooden fence pickets included in this scope are typically made from Cryptomeria japonica (Japanese Cedar or Sugi), but can also be made from other wood species, including but not limited to Western Red Cedar, Redwood, Incense Cedar, Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock, Sitka Spruce, and Cunninghamia lanceolata (Chinese Fir). Wooden fence pickets are included within the scope of this investigation regardless of form or shape, including, but not limited to square, pointed, dog ear, flat top, and gothic. The projected date of International Trade Commission’s Preliminary Conference is October 15, 2026. The earliest theoretical date for retroactive suspension of liquidation for AD is December 3, 2026. CVD is October 14, 2026.
