Petitions Filed Requesting the Imposition of Antidumping and Countervailing Duties on Imports of Corrugated Pizza Boxes from the People’s Republic of China, Malaysia, and the Republic of Turkey

Case Summary

On September 9, 2026, Smurfit Westrock plc; Pratt Industries, Inc.; and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union (“Petitioners”) filed a petition for the imposition of antidumping and countervailing duties on the imports of corrugated pizza boxes from the People’s Republic of China, Malaysia, and the Republic of Turkey. The petition alleges dumping margins of 96.62% – 568.50% from China; 110.73% from Malaysia; and 120.65% – 210.37% from Turkey. The petition identifies certain foreign producers/exporters and U.S. importers of the investigated product.

The merchandise covered by this investigation are certain corrugated food service boxes, which are commonly referred to as pizza boxes. Corrugated food service boxes are a type of box or carton manufactured from paper, paperboard, and/or cardboard for use in the food service industry, including to hold pizza pies. The projected date of International Trade Commission’s Preliminary Conference is September 30, 2026. The earliest theoretical date for retroactive suspension of liquidation for AD is November 18, 2026. CVD is September 29, 2026.
