On April 6, 2026, Charter Steel, Commercial Metals Company, Liberty Steel USA, Nucor Corporation, and Optimus Steel LLC filed a petition for the imposition of countervailing duties on the imports of Carbon and Alloy Steel Wire Rod from Algeria. The petition identifies certain foreign producers/exporters and U.S. importers of the investigated product.
The merchandise subject to this order covers certain hot-rolled products of carbon steel and alloy steel, in coils, of approximately circular cross section, less than 19.00 mm in actual solid cross-sectional diameter.
The projected date of International Trade Commission’s Preliminary Conference is April 28, 2026. The earliest theoretical date for retroactive suspension of liquidation for CVD is April 27, 2026.
