Michael Tabrizi is an Associate (pending admission) in the Firm’s New York office. Mr. Tabrizi began his career with the Firm as a legal intern in the fall of 2023. His practice is focused on customs and international trade law. Mr. Tabrizi has experience with first sale appraisement programs, country of origin determinations, classification of merchandise under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) compliance, Trade Remedies such as those of Section 232, and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from New York University, Mr. Tabrizi attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as an editor for the Cardozo International and Comparative Law Review (CICLR) and as a student attorney with the Benjamin B. Ferencz Human Rights and Atrocity Prevention Clinic. Collaborating with the New York City Bar Association, his clinical work focused on the intersection of foreign counter-terrorism laws and international law, with the aim of crafting an effective counter-terrorism strategy consistent with international law. Mr. Tabrizi is also the author of “Reframing Puerto Rican Advocacy: How the Emerging U.S.-China Rift Can Help Puerto Rico Realize Greater Autonomy,” 8 Cardozo Int’l & Comp. L. Rev. 175 (2025).
