Frank Desiderio and Erik Smithweiss will be speakers at the upcoming National Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders G-TEC Conference in Chicago on August 1-2, 2022.
Frank Desiderio will present on a panel discussion titled “What Supply Chain and Compliance Teams Should Know About 301 and Other Retaliatory Tariffs.” The program will provide an overview of the history and status of the tariffs imposed in an effort to remedy violative trade practices and how trade compliance programs can be managed to reduce risk.
Erik Smithweiss will present on the panel “Binding Rulings: Understanding the Best Strategy for Using.” This program will focus on obtaining rulings on classification, value, origin and other matters; when alternatives to ruling requests might be appropriate or necessary; and when it might be best not to request one.
