Harold Grunfeld Quoted in Private Funds CFO on Customs Risks

Founding Partner Harold Grunfeld is quoted in a Private Funds CFO article discussing the financial risks GPs at private funds could encounter due to customs issues, particularly in light of anticipated tariffs.

Harold cautions that these tariffs can become an insurmountable debt for those who do not look out for them, noting, “Customs is a trap for the unaware, and adding private funds should factor these risks into their M&A diligence.” He adds, “Any company you look at should be able to explain their intra- and inter-company pricing models, their tariff exposure, how they label goods for purposes of customs duties and their exposure to forced labor regulations.”
