U.S. District Court Preempts California Alligator/Crocodile Prohibition

A U.S. District Court has ruled that Federal Law precludes the State from enforcing a criminal code that prohibited the commercial trade in alligator/crocodile parts and products.

Importantly, the Court ruling does not nullify the California protections for ALL species of alligator/crocodile; but only those that comply with certain legal parameters.
