Petition Filed Requesting the Imposition of Antidumping and Countervailing Duties on Imports of Tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane from China

Case Summary

On April 21, 2026, Advancion Corporation filed a petition for the imposition of antidumping and countervailing duties on the imports of Tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane from China. The petition alleges dumping margins of 43.89% – 965.62% (China). The petition identifies certain foreign producers/exporters and U.S. importers of the investigated product.

The merchandise subject to these investigations is tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane, also commonly referred to as tromethamine or THAM, and its derivative, tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane hydrochloride (“Tris HCl”), also commonly referred as Tris hydrochloride or tromethamine HC1 (collectively, “Tris”). Tris and Tris HC1 are organic compounds with molecular compositions of C4EIHNO3 and C4HiiNO3.C1H, respectively. The projected date of International Trade Commission’s Preliminary Conference is May 12, 2026. The earliest theoretical date for retroactive suspension of liquidation for AD is June 30, 2026. CVD is May 11, 2026.
