On September 29, 2025, American Chrome (formerly Elementis) filed a petition for the imposition of antidumping and countervailing duties on the imports of Chromium Trioxide from India and the Republic of Turkey. The petition alleges dumping margins of 14.70% (India) and 40.93% (Turkey). The petition identifies certain foreign producers/exporters and U.S. importers of the investigated product.
The merchandise subject to these investigations is chromium trioxide (Chemical Abstracts Services (“CAS”) registry number 1333-82-0), regardless of form (dry or solution). The projected date of the International Trade Commission’s Preliminary Conference is October 21, 2025. The earliest theoretical date for retroactive suspension of liquidation for AD is December 9, 2025. CVD is October 20, 2025.
